Let’s think about this. How many men have you heard say “All women are…” fill in the blank. How many women have you heard say “All men are…” fill in the blank. “The rich are all…”  ”The poor always…” “Republicans always…” Democrats never…”

Human nature is flawed. All history would have to be ignored to deny that. Every person on earth has made a group judgement at one time or another and been wrong for doing it. In the Rwandan genocide of 1994, the Tutsi and Hutu conflict resulted in the death of an estimated million people. Both groups were black and this senseless, racist genocide had nothing to do with color. I love how Morgan Freeman in his interview with Mike Wallace challenged us to simply call each other by name and stop talking about race… altogether.

The only thing worse than being a racist, sexist or any other “ist” or “phobe” is using the accusation as a weapon for political or personal gain, a practice that is all too common today. I recently met a woman at one of my shows. She asked me where I had performed recently and when I answered “At a Tea Party”, she became indignant saying “Why did you do that? They’re a bunch of racists!”  I was saddened to see the clear evidence of propaganda, indoctrination and intimidation successfully implanted into this woman’s thinking. A corrupt and politically complicit media failed again to convey the truth. The Tea Party event that I was a part of had invited candidate Alan West, a black conservative decorated military veteran. When he spoke, the Tea Party attendees numbering over two thousand were in delighted, rapt attention. Of the many who spoke at the event, he received the warmest reception. Those who tune out conservative news sources and tune in only to liberal ones are being denied the truth. It’s time we worked overtime to correct this atrocity by making the truth known through whatever means we have left.

One tenet of the feminist movement is the defense of women who are exploited in the workplace. The mere allegation that conservative supreme court nominee Clarence Thomas had spoken inappropriately with a staffer brought the wrath and indignation of the feminist movement. Anita Hill was recruited by the feminists to testify before congress regarding this ten year old allegation but was unable to adequately substantiate her accusations. When Bill Clinton was president and there was an “indiscretion”  (in fact sex in the oval office) with a young intern, it was proven beyond any doubt, yet the same feminist movement came to Clinton’s defense claiming that it was “personal” and did not affect his authority. More recently we all experienced the evisceration of Sara Palin by her political opponents and the media. The personal attacks on her and her family had no basis in fact but did the feminists defend her? Pro life, pro constitution, wrong politics, not worthy of defense. Could socialist politics be the real motive for feminism and not the defense of women after all?

Radical environmentalists have been shrill for years about oil drilling and just about any other endeavor that supports an economy.  During this ongoing oil disaster in the gulf there has been a dreadfully slow response to containment and clean up, protection of unions by refusal to waive the Jones Act, and refusal to allow media visitation and aerial photography.  Is the environmental community outraged at this government’s response? I haven’t heard much, have you?  Would this have been the case if George Bush was president? Socialist politics? Just asking…

When a Rolling Stone reporter succeeded in bringing about the resignation of General Stanley McCrystal, the clear choice for replacement was General David Petraeus. The media and the left hailed General Petraeus as a great choice, a true hero. Isn’t this the same General Petraeus that during the Bush presidency was called General BetrayUs by MoveOn.org? No complaint this time. Same general, different president. Socialist politics? I wonder…

When the Black Panthers intimidated voters in Philadelphia wearing paramilitary uniforms and carrying a baton, no truthful person could deny that they were breaking the law. Most of the media ignored the entire incident. Attorney general Eric Holder refuses to prosecute them in spite of the video and overwhelming evidence. If this had been a pair of KKK members, would we have heard about it by all media? Would  they be prosecuted? Ya think?

As we entertain deception in our culture, government and families, a certain and dreadful outcome can be the only result. As we sail through time in pursuit of happiness without the compass of truth, we will certainly end up in a very unhappy place where freedom is lost  as suffering and servitude become our lot. Ask those who have lived under the misery of central planning and socialism.  Let’s put truth back in it’s exalted place working diligently to protect our freedom to speak, write, and verify facts. Perhaps we should begin by examining our own hearts and motives, purging ourselves of any agenda that denies the truth.

This was accomplished while this system was utilized by a people whose majority lived in humility and truth guided by their respect for the living God of this nation’s founders. Acknowledging that man is fundamentally flawed, they sought the wisdom recorded in scripture to enact laws, depending also on the self governance of the individual.

During this same relative period of history, many other nations of the world sought utopia as they embraced the view that human thought had the highest authority. The writings of Karl Marx and others like him led some to believe that this utopia could be achieved by empowering elite leaders with the authority to distribute wealth, from each according to his ability to each according to his need.

A true source study of history concludes that this communist, socialist system has inevitably led to poverty, oppression, loss of liberty, and murder of dissenters by it’s leaders. Those in power often lived a wealthy lifestyle while their citizens lived in poverty. A simple quote by Margaret Thatcher: Socialism is great until you run out of other people’s money. Those who would desire to see America under this system have long been working behind the scenes to accomplish this by many insidious means including infiltrating unions, government and education,  debasing the culture with promiscuity, creating dependence, destabilizing currency and the economy, and working at every turn to eliminate regard for God in our culture. These acts would be necessary in order to submit the population to a mindset that would enable them to erode individual freedom in the name of security.

The founders of America knew that a people enjoying their freedom while being self governed by God would never submit to such authority by their government as had been experienced by them in England under the king. In this current culture, we have allowed ourselves to be so deceived that we have difficulty dividing truth from deception. As we allow ourselves to drift from the principles set forth by God in scripture, He will allow us to be deceived into this  falsehood of socialism and thus suffer it’s dreadful consequences.

Capitalism, in the long run, can only operate soundly when those who endeavor to enjoy it’s freedom are themselves governed by their individual regard for truth and charity. When individual charity is neglected, the need is left to an inefficient and bureaucratic government with a desire for power over the governed.

The recent failures in our economy were brought on by the advancement of socialist policies in government such as the Community Reinvestment Act and the subversive actions of the Federal Reserve, combined with the greed of some capitalists who held no moral regard for their fellow man. This collapse has been seized by socialists and communists (who helped bring this about) as an opportunity to rapidly seize power and “fundamentally transform” America’s economy. Much of the media is complicit in this as they fail to report and even distort fact in order to aid these social revolutionaries with whom they predominantly agree.

I believe that the only hope for a restoration of this great nation is for us to recognize our failures and work diligently to educate ourselves in true, not revisionist history, to share our knowledge with all whom we are able, to fight tirelessly against those who would abridge our right to freedom of speech and assembly (yes they are under attack), and most of all to humble ourselves before God as we follow the example of our founding fathers in seeking the help and intervention that only He can provide.

I am not advocating a theocracy, as our God is a God of freedom and would not have His creation believe in Him based on a law or even the word of others. He is found by those who diligently seek Him in truth, and an honest intellectual search for Him has led the greatest minds of history to a place of belief and wisdom.
